National Competent Authority (NCA): Definition & EU AI Act Application (Art. 70) | governances.app
Each EU member state must designate one or more National Competent Authorities responsible for supervising the application and implementation of the EU AI Act at national level. NCAs have powers to request documentation, conduct assessments, impose corrective measures, and refer cases involving GPAI models to the AI Office.
